Final Round of the USA Pump Track Championships – Jones Center

The first year of the USA Pump Track Championships has concluded and we are very proud to be sending two riders to the finals in Lisbon Portugal to compete against the best in the world at the Red Bull UCI Pump Track World Championships.

In the men’s 17+ class it was our winner of the Temecula round who also made the trip to Springdale, AR for the final, Cole Suetos who battled against Alec Bob in a all out final run.  It was intense as the two riders both literally left it all on the track!  Unfortunately with one turn to go Suetos got off rhythm just before the final turn and had a hard slam.  Bob crossed the finish line and began to have severe muscle cramps immediately after.  They were both leaving nothing to chance in the intense competition.  Because Alec Bob had already qualified at a previous round of the Red Bull UCI Pump Track World Championships Qualifier Cole Suetos secured himself the “Ticket” and will be headed to the LCQ at the World Finals event!

In the women’s 17+ class previous winner of a World Championships Qualifier Shealen Reno returned and took the top step with Jordy Scott officially winning the ticket to the finals.  Due to some schedule issues Scott will not make the trip so the prized “ticket” was awarded to the next finisher Jacelyn Reno.  Jacelyn will be a great representative for the USA talent as she also qualified at a previous round of the Red Bull UCI Pump Track World Championships Qualifier earlier in the year.  She now has a paid flight and hotel to go with that!

This first year of the USA Pump Track Championships has taught us a lot and we are over the moon excited about the grass roots participation and genuine interest in Velosolutions Pump Tracks!  From locations to riders of all ages the turnout for each event was impressive.  We are going into the think tank to plan out next year and figure out how to make it even better with more stops in 2022!
